you will feel nourished by the silence in this beautiful mountain area.
After a preparation afternoon in the stunning old town of Bergamo. We travel to a mountain village as from the movies. When we step out of the bus we see a beautiful little church. An old Italian lady and a dog are walking on the street. When we look up we see the stunning mountains in the background. We tie our laces, put our backpacks on our back and walk out of the village replacing the habited world for the quiet mountains.
Our path goes through a fairytale forest slowly elevating to mountain meadows full of flowers. We climb higher and higher. Sometimes reaching a mountain pass above the tree line followed by descending along mountain lakes.
Near the end of the week, we climb a mountaintop where (if we are lucky with the weather) we can look over Italy until the sea.
Every morning, we will do an easy short yoga sequence to wake up. After an Italian breakfast, we start our hike. On the way, we will take enough breaks to enjoy the surroundings, do a little meditation or take a refreshing dive in a little mountain lake.
At the end of the afternoon, we will arrive at the mountain hut. Here you can relax on your own; enjoy the view, read a book, or chat (with the Italians). Together (with the Italians) we dine in the messroom. After that we connect with the mountainhut silence, finding our beds not to late. Early rise, early shine to continue our trip fresh in the morning.

WHAT PHYSICAL CONDITION IS NEEDED?
To join this journey a good basic condition is needed. We take time for the hiking and take enough rest on the way. We will be in physical motion, but will not be in a hurry. You will need to carry a backpack between 10-12 kg. When you have doubts if your physical condition is sufficient enough, just contact me. So we can determine if this journey is a good fit for you.
HOW BIG IS THE GROUP?
The group of hiking compagnons on this journey will never be bigger than 7 wonderful people . As seven is the perfect number for a heartfelt group coherence. Aswell, safety is important in the mountains, with this groupsize I can facilitate a safe journey.
The journey will go through with a minimum of 3 people.

When you book you will recieve a supporting packinglist to be able to prepare yourself for this journey. The items are devided in essential & optional. Bare in mind you need some things you might never have used before. Therefor it is recommandable to book the retreat when you feel ready to prepare yourself.
A good preparation will bring you ease and comfort on the journey 🙂
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I NEED ?
Hikingshoes are the most essential items from your equipment. Your hiking shoes needs to be high, with soles with a good profile. Make sure your shoes are worn-in.
WHAT IS THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT THING I NEED ?
CAN I LEAVE SOME LUGGAGE BEHIND?
WHAT IS A MOUNTAINHUT LIKE?
The common thing in the mountainhuts is that everybody dines together on the same time. In the huts we stay they serve, at least three courses. They courses are offered to the guests in the same moment. This brings a very cosy atmosphere in the dining room. Feeling connected with all people who hiked up the mountains to reach the hut.
Breakfast is served at a certain time, where we as a group eat together.
ARE DRINKS INCLUDED?
During breakfast you will be served either a tea or coffee with some toast. This is a very basic Italian breakfast 😉 Therefor I introduce a second breakfast after one or two hours of hiking along the way.
At diner water is included. When you drink something else it is on your own account.
Once and a while I will offer you to share a carafe of wine together, when people feel like it during diner 🙂
Disclaimer: Unfortunatly I as a guide cannot control the virus. Therefor I cannot carry any responsibilities when people get infected. However I will do my best to make the journey resonably safe.
Each mountainhut has it’s own rules and regulations according Covid. Their hospitality is amazing. The take the necessary precautions, but are not in stressfull about it (as I experienced this July)
The new man will find his religion in nature – not in dead stone statues, but in living dancing trees in the wind. He will find his religion surfing on the sea, climbing on the virgin mountain. He will find his prayer with the snow the moon, with the stars. He will be in dialogue with existence as it is. He will not live with abstract ideas. He will live with realities. His commitment he will come to know super-nature. God is hidden here in this earth, in this very body: this very body the Buddha, tis very earth the paradise.
